ahh i start school on the 25th, and i'm going to be a sophomore this year.
i still need to start preparing and looking over a couple PSAT booklets. i really want to get into the nc school of science and math for the next school year, so i really need to start getting ready. i have to take the SAT and a bunch of exams on their campus. it's really competitive.

i got my schedule in the mail, and it's soo not how i'd like it to be. i had talked with my counselor earlier to change to latin I and another alternate, but it still says i'm taking spanish classes. i've contacted her, but she hasn't replied it. i might just have to get my dad to call or something. i really, really hope this all works out. i really want to take latin. due to all the budget cuts going around, there's no room for me to even take latin II. i suppose i'll just take that during next summer.

i went to my 2nd home again this weekend, OBX. it was amazing. hahah, you know having to change in the public eye, eating cold custard and lemon-raspeberry sherbert smoothies, getting knocked down by waves, jumping off of sand dunes, pointing out all the gorgeous boys, acting basically insane... we climbed cape hatteras lighthouse for the first time. it's the tallest lighthouse in america. my legs were shaking so badly, but the view was sooo beautiful. i've been in love with the outerbanks, because it's just so natural. it's not a commercial place like myrtle beach! everything is soo beach-y, down to the very few, small gas stations. i love small towns. the locals are so friendly. it's a really long strech of small islands. southern, beach living at it's best. (:

i have driver's ed all this week. you just go in, read modules, and take tests. the teacher puts on videos once in a while. at my current school WHS, we've had seven students die in the past year, so a lot of those news videos are centered around us. anyway, i have the class exam on thursday, and then idk when they're going to call me for driving portion. after all of that, i'll have to go the DMV and take the permit and sign tests. i have studying to do. JOYYY (: i think we might even have to do a presentation project in that class, :(

how is it going for everyone else? i hope everything is well!

i will still work on the collabs i have. they might just take longer. (:

i really hate talking to guidance about my schedules. i had a mistake (which was a big one? he didn't put in physics which is a mandatory class) and my guidance counselor ignored me three times when i went into his office. it got to the point where my MOM had to go in and then he's like OSORRY MAH B. he was mocking me, too. :( the whole time he's like WHY DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND ASH THIS IS SO EASY !!!!!! ITS RIGHT.

don't worry too much about the psats. :) if you're taking them in your sophomore year, you'll have another chance in your junior year (which actually "counts"). psats don't really count for much anyways.

it's so confusing with the whole schedule. starting today, we have to make schedule request changes using SPAN. except, since i have to drop two classes (Spanish 1&2), i don't really know what to do. i'm confused about whether or not i have to make two requests, 'cause it asks for which class you want to drop in place of the one you want to take.. and the VP hasn't responded to my questions. i think i'm going to call now and leave a message or something and have her talk to my dad tomorrow.

i know what you mean. :( atleast your ordeal was fixed. :D

yeah, i took a psat in ninth grade. i have to register to take the real sat, though. it's for the math and science boarding school i want to get into. i mean, it's not going to count for college entry, but i still want to get into that school. so, i have to do pretty well on it, like, compared to the other kids who are applying..
:iconcolorlessday:
ugh that sounds so frustrating. the worst is when nobody helps you.

psat in ninth? they don't even offer that here. oh, wow. sounds like that school is tough. but the sat? if you're gonna be a sophomore, you didn't even learn geometry and you need to know that.

In my school, psats don't really count. sats count because that's what colleges will look at. you should take two sats, one in spring of junior year and the second in fall of senior year. That way, which ever score is better, you can send that to colleges :)
:iconseaofsmiles:
yeah, that's the same with my school. :)
it's just that i want to apply to the nc school of math and science (it's a boarding school for juniors&seniors), and they require you take the sat as part of the application.
:iconseaofsmiles:
yeah, that's so true. i just really don't want to take spanish anymore. i know it's my fault for signing up for it without doing some research, but you know, i still wish the process could be easier. :(

yeah, i had only completed about two months of geometry when i took the psat. it's just optional, i guess. you know, for kids who just want an idea of what to anticipate later.
:iconcolorlessday:
well, it's not on the psat as much, but didn't you say you were taking the SAT soon?

there were like maybe 4 or 5 geometry things on my psat. yeah, i have to register to take the sat this school year :(
:iconcolorlessday:
on the SAT there's a lot more. :( you guys take the tests so early, i'm gonna be a junior and i haven't taken the SAT yet (besides practice).
